Our Optometrists are firm believers in patient education and disease prevention and are always willing to take the time to improve patient understanding of what is going on in their own eyes. We are dedicated to providing quality patient care through comprehensive eye examinations and maintaining a high level of care.

Dr. Manjeet K. Cheema, B.Sc., O.D.

Dr. Cheema received her Bachelor of Science (Honours) from York University and later graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Waterloo School of Optometry in 1993. She has been providing eye care services in the downtown core, previously in the Richmond Adelaide Centre and currently in the First Canadian Place. Her 18 years of experience are in primary eye care, contact lens service, laser vision consultation and co management.

Dr. Cheema attained her certification in the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) in 2000 from the Southern California College of Optometry. This program was for further education in the diagnosis, management and treatment of ocular conditions and systemic effects of using therapeutic drugs.

She has enjoyed and continues to enjoy providing eye care with attention to detail, care and professionalism.

Dr. Navpreet Johar, B.Sc., O.D.

We are proud to have Dr. Navpreet Johar join our practice. She attended McMaster University completing a Bachelor of Science and graduated cum laude with a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Johar completed a one year residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. As a resident Dr. Johar worked as a clinical lecturer, teaching optometry students. She has and continues to participate in national Optometry conferences presenting case reports to fellow colleagues. She has earned her Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry.

Currently, Dr. Johar also works at the Vision Institute of Canada, as the Director of Contact Lens Services. She specializes in managing both soft and rigid gas-permeable contact lens patients, with an emphasis on keratoconus. Dr. Johar also works part-time at a refractive surgical clinic in Toronto to provide LASIK/PRK consultations and post-operative care.

Dr. Johar is a member of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Michael S. Lee, B.Sc., O.D.

It’s our pleasure to have Dr. Michael Lee on board. He graduated from the university of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science and attained a Doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He completed his externship training at the Tallahassee Veteran’s Affairs Outpatient Clinic where he gained valuable clinical experience in the management of various ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma and the co-management of ocular surgeries. Further training was in contact lens management, which included the new multifocal contacts, while at the Southeast Eye Specialists Clinic in Florida as well as in binocular vision while at the Vision Institute of Canada in Toronto, Ontario.

His professional memberships include the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

Dr. Lee is board certified by the Canadian Examiners in Optometry and in the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) in Canada, as well accredited by the National Board of Examiners of Optometry (NBEO) in the United States. His professional interests lie in the management of contact lenses, ocular diseases and eye surgery co-management.

All our doctors are in good standing with the College Of Optometrists and are members of the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) and the Canadian College of Optometrists (CAO).
